CDChoices Pays It Forward

CDChoices staff handing out goody bags and gift cards on World Kindness Day

CDChoices was featured on WNYT News Channel 13 on February 27, in celebration of World Kindness Day by sharing staff’s initiative to distribute gift cards to residents of Albany.

Marketing and Outreach Specialist Marian Eck, Marketing and Outreach Associate Myakye Aung and Office Operations Supervisor Annie Winsman spearheaded the initiative by personally handing out $10 Stewart’s Shops gift cards to 20 strangers at random. The recipients of the gift cards also received giveaways and helpful information about CDChoices and its services.

“This initiative was inspired by our goal to engage more with our community and prove that small gestures can make a big difference. We hope whether someone’s day was brightened by treats from Stewart’s or they learned about programs offered by CDChoices that could help them or a loved one, that we made an impact,” said Eck.
