CDChoices was featured on News Channel 13 on April 14, 2023, in recognition of National Volunteer Month. CDChoices partnered with Umbrella of the Capital District, a non-profit agency who provides low-cost home improvements to seniors and people with disabilities in the Capital Region. CDChoices chose Umbrella of the Capital District due to their similarly shared mission. Eight (8) staff went out to three (3) different homes throughout the capital district to provide various tasks, including raking and cleaning up the yards of the residents. Chief Executive Officer, Chris Graber, shared, “While we at Consumer Directed Choices are committed to year-round volunteer efforts, April as Volunteer Month is an excellent opportunity to shine light on the big impact that small volunteer projects can have for our neighbors.”
