2024 PA Recognition Program

Consumer Directed Choices (“CDChoices”) will be celebrating its 23^rd anniversary this year, a milestone that highlights the vision and passion of our late founding CEO, Constance Laymon. Fifteen years ago, Constance initiated the idea for consumers and designated representatives to honor and reward outstanding personal assistants through the Personal Assistant Recognition Award. After her passing in 2012, the organization fittingly named the award in her honor. Constance recognized personal assistants as the “DNA of independence” for our consumers, understanding their irreplaceable role in enabling individuals with disabilities to achieve independence and form interdependent relationships.

This recognition allows consumers and their designated representatives to express gratitude for the significant impact of these personal assistants, shedding light on their demanding work and daily compassion.
