If you are considering insurance through the NYS Health Exchange (also known as “Obama Care” or the Affordable Care Act) and would like assistance with the application process, there are offices within in your local area where trained specialists can assist you. You can find offices in Greene, Columbia, Schenectady, Albany and Saratoga Counties.

Whether answering to a natural disaster, a personal emergency or to furnish tools to foster independent lives, United Way’s 2-1-1 seeks to help those in need wherever they live. 2-1-1 can give callers up-to-date information on emergency shelters, road conditions, etc. 2-1-1 can also direct you to the free Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.

Sign up for an Access Pass

An Access Pass permits residents of New York State with permanent disabilities, as defined in the application, free use of the parks, historic sites, and recreational facilities operated by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (State Parks) and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). The pass holder may have free use of facilities operated by State Parks and DEC for which there is normally a charge.
